Stable Dollar, Slightly Weaker Euro in Ukraine on October 5
On October 5, the exchange rates for the US dollar and the euro in Ukraine remained relatively stable, with slight fluctuations observed across different banks. The dollar held steady at around 45 hryvnias, while the euro was available for less than 51 hryvnias. The lowest selling rate for the dollar among listed banks was 45.10 UAH, and for the euro, it was 50.75 UAH.
At currency exchange offices, the average selling rate for the dollar was 44.99 UAH, up by 1 kopeck from the previous day. The euro, however, saw a slight decline, with the average selling rate dropping by 10 kopecks to 51.20 UAH. This indicates that while the dollar's value remained virtually unchanged, the euro experienced a minor depreciation.
Banks like PrivatBank, Oschadbank, and PUMB showed varying rates for buying and selling both currencies. For instance, PrivatBank offered the dollar at 45.20 UAH for cash and 45.24 UAH for card transactions, while the euro was priced at 50.85 UAH for cash and 51.02 UAH for cards. Monobank provided the most favorable rates for buying euros at 50.75 UAH.
For those looking to exchange larger amounts, the difference between the cheapest and most expensive options for buying a dollar was 25 kopecks, and for a euro, it was 50 kopecks. For example, buying $100 would cost between 4,510 UAH and 4,535 UAH, depending on the bank and the type of exchange rate. The National Bank of Ukraine's official exchange rate as of October 2 showed the dollar rising by 15 kopecks, while the euro lost 2 kopecks in value.
