Stocks Rebound as Oil Prices Fall, Easing Pressure from Bond Market
US stocks rebounded on Thursday after a tumultuous day of trading following the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike, driven by falling oil prices and easing pressure from the bond market.
The S&P 500 rose 0.9% and was on track for just its second increase in nine days, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 213 points or 0.4%, as of 11 a.m. Eastern time.
Brent crude oil prices slid 2.3% to $103.38, down from nearly $110 earlier in the week due to concerns over the war with Iran and its impact on global oil supplies.
