Stocks Rise as Cooler Inflation Data Eases Fed Rate Hike Concerns
U.S. stock futures rose on Friday after cooler June PCE inflation data and softer-than-expected second-quarter GDP reinforced expectations that inflation pressures may be easing.
The Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq 100 indices advanced, with the S&P 500 up 0.50% and the Dow Jones up 0.54% in premarket trading.
Apple Inc. (AAPL) dropped 7.27% despite beating earnings and sales estimates for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, while Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) surged by 12.31% after posting upbeat financial results for the second quarter.
Coinbase Global Inc. (COIN) was 4.46% lower as it posted revenue of $1.22 billion in the second quarter, down roughly 19% year-over-year.
