Swiss Economy Resilient Amid US Tariffs
UBS economists have reaffirmed their growth forecasts for Switzerland despite new US tariffs. The bank stated that while the tariffs will impact Swiss exporters, they will not significantly affect the country's economy.
According to UBS, exports to the United States are expected to contribute minimally to economic growth this year and next. Instead, the recovery of the European economy is expected to drive Switzerland's economic growth in 2027.
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) may begin scaling back its monetary stimulus measures by gradually raising its key interest rate from the middle of next year if the European economy recovers as predicted.
