Swiss Franc Stands Firm Against Weakening Dollar

The Swiss Franc has maintained its strength against the US Dollar, trading near 0.8090 in the European session on Monday.

This comes as the US Dollar Index (DXY) eased from its highest level in over a week, following a stronger-than-expected US employment data release last Friday.

The US Nonfarm Payrolls report showed the economy added 256,000 jobs in December, beating forecasts of 160,000. However, investors took profits after the Dollar's initial surge, leading to a pullback and providing support for the Swiss Franc.

Safe-haven demand remains high for the Franc, which often benefits from a weakening US Dollar. The SNB has maintained a cautious stance, with its policy rate at 0.5%, but officials have signaled further easing could be possible if inflation remains subdued.
