Switzerland's Trade Surplus Reaches Record High $28.86 Billion
Switzerland's trade surplus has nearly doubled in the second quarter of 2026, reaching 23.7 billion Swiss francs ($28.86 billion), according to the Swiss National Bank.
This represents a significant increase from 13.8 billion francs recorded during the same period last year.
The growth was driven by an expansion in goods trade, with Switzerland posting a surplus of nearly 30 billion francs during the quarter.
However, the country did record a deficit of 4.4 billion francs for services.
