Taiwan Stocks Hit Record High as Foreign Investors Return with $1.8 Billion
Taiwan's stock market saw a significant surge on Friday, reaching a record high of 46,551.13 points after gaining 693.47 points.
The strong performance in the local equities attracted foreign investors to buy back more than NT$56.2 billion (approximately $1.8 billion) worth of shares, marking a sharp reversal from their net selling on the previous two days.
Currency traders noted that the Taiwan dollar strengthened NT$0.125 against the U.S. dollar to close at NT$31.63, with the near-term exchange rate direction becoming increasingly clear.
