The Kazakh tenge has reached its highest value in 2026, rising to 0.1925 soms against the Kyrgyzstani som. This marks a significant increase of 0.73% from previous rates.

Meanwhile, the Russian ruble is recovering after declining to its yearly minimum, with an official exchange rate of 1.0135 soms at the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan. The ruble's growth follows a recent trend of strengthening against the Kyrgyzstani som.

The US dollar and Chinese yuan remain stable, with unchanged rates of 87.45 soms and 13.0304 soms, respectively. However, the euro has seen a slight decrease in exchange rate, dropping to 101.63 soms at the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.

These changes may impact individuals sending money abroad, particularly those from migrant families. For example, sending $30,000 rubles would result in 30,405 soms under the new exchange rate, an increase of 141 soms compared to previous rates.
