UBS Reports Q2 Profit Surge Amid Stablecoin Launch
UBS Group reported a net profit of $2.8 billion in its second quarter financial results, exceeding market expectations. The bank's wealth-management division saw a significant influx of new assets, totaling $36 billion.
The company's CET1 ratio stood at 14.4%, indicating a healthy capital position. Consolidated assets reached approximately $7.3 trillion, while the stock traded near $55.38 per share.
Separately, UBS announced its involvement in the launch of CHFD, a Swiss franc-backed stablecoin. The digital currency is currently in live testing and aims to maintain a 1:1 peg to the Swiss franc.
