Tour de France Femmes 2026 Infractions See Riders and Teams Penalized
The first stage of the Tour de France Femmes 2026 has seen several riders and teams penalized for rule violations. The race jury at the Tour de France Femmes identified and punished infractions with yellow cards, fines, or time penalties.
During Stage 1 from Lausanne to Lausanne (138 km), vehicle movements were a concern. Press vehicle driver Stéphane Chanal and sports directors Christian Kos (SD Worx-Protime), Ion Lazkano (Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi), Chérie Pridham (UAE) each received a fine of 500 Swiss francs and a yellow card.
Huub Duijn, sports director for EF Education-Oatly, also received the same fine for a similar infraction. Alice Towers from EF Education-Oatly was fined 250 Swiss francs and had 15 UCI points deducted for carelessly throwing away waste outside designated litter zones.
Riders Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (Visma | Lease a Bike) and Lieke Nooijen, as well as Lily Williams (Human Powered Health), Josie Nelson (Picnic PostNL), and Alison Jackson (St Michel-Mavic-Auber93) received official warnings for riding on pavements not part of the course.
