US President Donald Trump has called on the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates, claiming that the US should have the lowest interest rate in the world.

Talking to reporters aboard Air Force One on July 27, Trump stated that 'Rates should be lowered… We have other countries that are paying less interest rates.'

He added that he believes the Federal Reserve, led by Chair Kevin Warsh, has a political board and should lower rates accordingly.
