Trump Criticizes Fed Chair Over Rate Hike Vote
US President Donald Trump has weighed in on the Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates last month, stating that Chairman Kevin Warsh should have voted against the move.
'I don't blame Kevin Warsh,' Trump said. 'I probably would have voted against the board if I were him.'
The Fed raised rates by a quarter percentage point in September, with another hike penciled in for later this year to combat inflation.
Trump has long pushed for lower borrowing costs and has blamed his predecessor Joe Biden for the current state of inflation.
