President Donald Trump criticized the Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates on Wednesday. Speaking in North Carolina, he called the Fed board 'hostile' and suggested that their hands were tied due to the current state of the central bank.

The president stopped short of criticizing Chairman Kevin Warsh, whom he appointed earlier this year. Trump said that Warsh's position was constrained by the circumstances at the Fed.

Trump's comments come as the Federal Reserve continues to navigate its monetary policy decisions in a time of economic uncertainty.
