Trump Slams Fed Chair Warsh Over Interest Rate Hike Decision
US President Donald Trump recently expressed his thoughts on Federal Reserve chairman Kevin Warsh's decision to vote in favor of hiking interest rates last month. In an interview with Time magazine, Trump stated that he would have voted against the rate hike if he were Warsh.
'I don't blame Kevin Warsh,' Trump said. 'I probably would have voted against the board if I were him.'
Trump has long advocated for lower borrowing costs and has criticized the Fed's decision to raise interest rates. However, he emphasized that he retains confidence in his hand-picked chairman.
'It's become very political,' Trump said. 'I don't blame you, Kevin. I think it's too bad. Not fair.'
