Trump Warns Over Weak Yen's Trade Impact with Japan
US President Donald Trump expressed concern about the impact of Japan's weak yen on US trade during a meeting between Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in New York this week.
Takaichi said that Trump mentioned the yen's depreciation, which has been making trade difficult for the United States. She replied that an undervalued yen is a general problem.
The two leaders did not discuss monetary or fiscal issues during their bilateral meeting on Tuesday, according to Takaichi.
