Trump's Fed Chair Relationship Under Microscope Amid Communication Claims

Donald Trump's relationship with Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh has been put under scrutiny after reports of repeated communication between the two surfaced. Warsh was appointed as chairman by Trump in May, following a vote that saw him win with a 54-45 margin.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump and Warsh had been in touch since Warsh's appointment, but Trump disputed this claim, stating he had only spoken to Warsh 'one time, briefly, a few days ago'. This contradicts previous reports from the White House spokesperson Kush Desai, who said Trump was giving Warsh the space he needed to restore confidence and competence in Fed decision-making.

Trump also praised Warsh during an Oval Office meeting, calling him 'fantastic' and 'a brilliant guy', despite expressing disappointment with his stance on interest rates. Warsh's term is set to conclude in May 2030.
