Türkiye's BIST 100 Index Opens Stronger on Monday
Türkiye's BIST 100 index started the week on a positive note, opening at 12,373.11 points on Monday, a gain of 0.84% or 102.93 points from the previous close.
The benchmark index had already seen a modest rise of 0.17% on Friday, closing at 12,270.18 points. Trading volume for the day reached 124.8 billion Turkish liras ($2.54 billion).
As of 9:50 am local time (0650 GMT), the Turkish lira traded at 49.1620 to the US dollar, 55.0100 to the euro, and 64.9990 to the British pound.
Commodities also saw movements, with gold priced at $4,151.05 per ounce and Brent crude futures trading at $101.54 per barrel.
