UAH Exchange Rates Soar: Dollar Rises, Euro Falls on September 18

The hryvnia exchange rate against the US dollar rose on September 18 in Ukraine, while the euro's value declined. The official hryvnia exchange rate against the US dollar is UAH 44.66, a 6-kopeck increase from the previous day. In contrast, the euro's value fell by 21 kopecks to UAH 51.23. These changes are reflected in data from the National Bank of Ukraine.

The exchange rates vary depending on the location and payment method. For instance, at banks, the average cash exchange rate for the dollar is UAH 44.47-44.97, while for the euro it's UAH 51.11-51.80. At currency exchange offices, the rates are slightly different: UAH 44.75-44.86 for the dollar and UAH 51.70-51.95 for the euro.

The government has projected an average annual hryvnia exchange rate of UAH 45.6 per dollar in its draft state budget for 2026. This projection is slightly higher than the current official exchange rate.
