UK Economy Surges Unexpectedly on AI Boost

Britain's economy has reported an unexpected growth of 0.4 percent in July, according to official data released on September 11th.

The expansion was driven by the artificial intelligence sector, which saw computer programming as its largest contributor. This strong growth is a continuation of the year's trend, with businesses involved in AI and related technologies boosting the sector.

The three-month GDP output from April to July also increased by 0.4 percent. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) attributed this growth to ongoing strength in the services sector, despite falls in both production and construction.

Liz McKeown, director of economic statistics at the ONS, stated that the data 'continuing the strong growth seen throughout the year.'
