UK GDP Steady, US Inflation Holds Firm Ahead of Fed Rate Decision
The UK's GDP growth rate remains steady at 0.4% in July 2026, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). This follows a similar growth rate in June and May of this year.
In terms of sectors, services output grew by 0.6%, with professional, scientific, and technical activities leading the way at 2.1%. However, production and construction outputs fell by 0.5% each.
The ONS also reported that total construction output declined by 0.5% in the three months to July 2026, following four consecutive increases.
