UK Inflation Data Due on Wednesday: GBP Volatility Expected
The UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) is set to release its Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for August on Wednesday at 06:00 GMT, which could trigger volatility in the British Pound (GBP).
This comes just one day before the Bank of England's (BoE) monetary policy decision, where it is expected to keep its policy rate unchanged at 3.75% on Thursday.
The CPI data shows that the UK Consumer Price Index is expected to rise 3.1% year-over-year in August, up from 2.9% in July.
