Ukraine Currency Stabilizes as Hryvnia Gains Against Dollar and Euro
The National Bank of Ukraine has set new official exchange rates for the hryvnia, strengthening it against both the US dollar and euro. As of September 29, the hryvnia is valued at UAH 44.8153 per US dollar, a gain of 3 kopecks over the previous day's rate. This is the latest development in what appears to be an ongoing trend of currency stabilization in Ukraine.
The exchange rates also show the euro-to-hryvnia rate strengthening by 16 kopecks over the day, now standing at UAH 50.9743 per euro. These changes are reflected across various banks and currency exchange offices, with average buying and selling prices showing a similar trend.
At banks, the dollar is traded at an average rate of UAH 44.62 when buying and UAH 45.22 when selling, while the euro is traded at UAH 50.77 and UAH 51.51, respectively. Currency exchange offices show slightly lower rates for both currencies.
The report also highlights a concerning trend in Ukraine's international reserves, which fell to $48.7 billion in August.
