Ukraine Raises Dollar Rate as Euro Hits 2025 Low
On Tuesday, October 6, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the official exchange rate for the US dollar at 45.06 hryvnias, marking a slight increase of 7 kopecks from the previous day. The euro, meanwhile, weakened further, with the NBU pegging its rate at 50.48 hryvnias, a decrease of 5 kopecks. The zloty also saw a minor decline, trading at 11.5256 hryvnias.
According to data from specialized financial websites, commercial banks were offering the dollar in a range of 44.75 to 45.28 hryvnias, the euro between 50.24 and 50.96 hryvnias, and the zloty from 11.26 to 11.78 hryvnias. On the interbank market, the dollar traded at 45.02 to 45.05 hryvnias, while the euro was valued at 50.39 to 50.41 hryvnias.
The euro’s decline to its lowest level since May 2025 has been attributed to financial instability in France. Despite weak US employment data, the dollar has strengthened, contributing to its psychological threshold crossing in the Ukrainian market.
