Ukraine's Central Bank Hikes Dollar and Euro Rates Amid Government Forecast
The National Bank of Ukraine has updated its official exchange rates for September 10, 2026. The US dollar and euro have risen against the hryvnia. According to the National Bank's website, the US dollar is now worth UAH 44.64, up from UAH 44.46 the day before.
The euro has also increased in value, rising by 36 kopecks to UAH 51.99. These changes come as Ukraine's government sets a higher average annual hryvnia-to-dollar exchange rate of UAH 45.6 per dollar in its draft state budget for 2026.
The updated exchange rates may put additional pressure on the hryvnia, which has already been facing challenges. The National Bank had previously lowered the official dollar and euro rates on September 8, but the current increases suggest that the currency may continue to struggle.
