Ukraine's National Bank Raises Dollar Rate, Lowers Euro Price
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) significantly raised the official exchange rate for the US dollar on Friday, October 2. The new rate is UAH 44.83 per dollar, a 15-kopeck increase from Thursday's rate.
The euro continues to become cheaper against the hryvnia, with an official exchange rate of UAH 50.70 as of Friday. This represents a small decrease of 2 kopecks compared to the previous day.
Specialized websites report slightly different rates on the interbank market and at banks. The dollar is traded between UAH 44.57-45.11, while the euro ranges from UAH 50.51-51.19. The zloty exchange rate is also available, with a range of UAH 11.35-11.82.
The new exchange rates come as Ukraine's average salary for full-time employees increased by 23.1% compared to August 2025, but decreased by 1.1% from July this year.
