Ukraine's National Bank Sets New Exchange Rates Amid Dollar Drop
The National Bank of Ukraine has set new official exchange rates for Monday, September 28. The dollar saw a significant drop after the weekend, while the euro and Polish zloty strengthened slightly against the hryvnia.
The NBU lowered the official exchange rate for the dollar by 13 kopecks to 44.84 UAH per dollar. In contrast, the euro rose by one kopeck to 51.14 UAH per euro, and the Polish zloty gained three kopecks to 11.70 UAH per zloty.
The exchange rates are used for accounting, customs calculations, government transactions, and other cases specified by law. Banks and currency exchange offices set their own buying and selling rates based on market conditions, public demand, cash reserves, and commercial margins.
