Ukrainian Hryvnia Exchange Rates See Mixed Results on September 21
The exchange rates for the dollar and euro against the Ukrainian hryvnia have been announced by UA.NEWS. On September 21, the average exchange rate for the dollar at Ukrainian banks rose to 45.01 hryvnias, an increase of 5 kopecks from the previous day. This means that the U.S. currency can be bought and sold at a rate of 44.45-44.75 hryvnia.
The euro's exchange rate remained unchanged at 51.79 hryvnia per euro, but it can be sold for an average of 51.06 hryvnias. In contrast to the dollar, the cash euro exchange rate at currency exchange offices was higher, with a buying price of 52 UAH per euro and a selling price of 51.75 UAH.
The National Bank set the official exchange rates for the day: 44.67 hryvnia per dollar and 51.19 hryvnia per euro. This means that the Ukrainian currency has depreciated by 1 kopeck against the dollar but strengthened against the euro, gaining 5 kopecks.
According to Taras Lesovyi, Director of the Department of Financial Markets and Investment Activities at Globus Bank, the dollar exchange rate is expected to remain within a range of 44.4-44.8 hryvnia this week. The euro's exchange rate may be more volatile due to global market fluctuations.
