US Disrupts China-Linked Hacking Operation Targeting Key Federal Agencies
The US government has announced that it has disrupted a China-linked hacking operation targeting key federal agencies.
The hackers, affiliated with China's military and intelligence services, used two platforms, QScan and QTRouter, to mask their operations and conduct attacks on several US federal agencies.
The targeted agencies include NASA, the Federal Reserve, the Justice Department, and the US Senate. The operation also compromised critical infrastructure and sensitive networks in the US and around the world.
According to experts, private contractors often conduct high-profile intrusions on behalf of Chinese government agencies.
