US Dollar Consolidates Gains Ahead of Critical Nonfarm Payrolls Data
The US Dollar consolidated its weekly gains on Friday, ahead of the critical Nonfarm Payrolls data release. Investors are gearing up for the employment report, which will feature September's Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP), wage inflation, and Unemployment Rate figures.
Ahead of the release, the European economic calendar offered Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) data for September. The US Dollar was the strongest against the Euro this week, with a 1.07% gain.
TD Securities expects September's NFP to show a marked loss of momentum, predicting a 50k increase, down from August's 162K. However, the bank advises looking through dovish signals in the report due to seasonal factors and rising participation.
