US Economy Sees Slight Growth Amid Persistent Inflation Concerns
The US economy experienced a slight growth of 1.5% in the second quarter, but inflation remains a persistent issue.
The Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index, which is the Federal Reserve's preferred measure of inflation, showed that core inflation grew by 0.3% in June and is up 3.3% since last year.
This follows the Federal Reserve's decision to keep interest rates steady at around 3.6%, as they aim to control inflation that remains roughly double their 2% target.
