US gold prices surged to $4,285.84 an ounce on August 6, marking its highest point since June 18. The demand for safe-haven investments increased due to easing inflation concerns and lower Treasury yields.

The weakening US dollar also contributed to the rise in gold prices. In contrast, silver slipped 0.4% to $61.84 an ounce.

Bullion prices rose across various cities in the US, including Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Houston, Arizona, Texas, Pennsylvania, San Diego, California, Columbus, and Washington.
