US-Iran Indirect Talks to Resume as Soon as Next Week

The US and Iran are set to resume indirect talks as early as Monday or Tuesday, according to an official briefed on the negotiations. The mediators will hold separate discussions with US and Iranian representatives.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Qatari mediators remain in the US ahead of the talks. The focus is expected to be on an amended version of a seven-day proposal presented by Iran at the United Nations General Assembly.

The market reaction has been relatively muted, with the US Dollar Index rising 0.08% to trade around 101.10. The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) US Oil retreated slightly from its intraday high but remains up 2.66%, trading around $93.80 per barrel.
