US, Iraq Agree on Continued Dollar Shipments
The US and Iraq have reached an agreement to continue shipments of physical US dollars to Baghdad, following disruptions earlier this year.
Iraqi government spokesperson Haider al-Aboudi stated that the understanding was reached during Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi's visit to the United States.
The shipments will help Iraq meet legitimate demand for foreign currency, with a new shipment expected within days, according to al-Aboudi.
