US Treasury Yields Soar Amid Inflation Fears

U.S. Treasury yields have surged to multi-year highs amid growing concerns over inflation.

The 10-year Treasury yield rose to 5.04%, its highest level since 2007, while the 30-year yield reached 5.39%.

The sharp increase in borrowing costs is attributed to strong inflationary pressures and investors' anticipation of a 25 basis point interest rate hike at the Federal Reserve's upcoming meeting.

Crude oil prices exceeding $100 per barrel have further fueled fears that inflation will remain above the central bank's 2% target, leading to higher borrowing costs.
