USD/CAD Gains Ahead of JOLTS Job Openings Data Amid US-Iran Tensions

The USD/CAD pair has gained ground to near 1.4050 during the early European session on Tuesday, as traders weigh developments surrounding US-Iran talks and anticipate the release of US JOLTS Job Openings data later in the day.

US President Donald Trump claimed that talks with Iran are ongoing, saying this is Tehran's 'last chance to sign a good document', but Iran denied these claims. The potential for renewed tensions between the two countries could boost crude oil prices and support the commodity-linked Canadian Dollar (CAD) against the US Dollar (USD).

The Canadian employment report on Friday will also be closely watched, as it may provide more clarity on the Federal Reserve's next policy move.
