USD Strengthens against CHF Ahead of Swiss Unemployment Rate Data
The US Dollar (USD) has gained ground against the Swiss Franc (CHF), trading at around 0.8080 on Friday's Asian hours, after a previous day of losses.
This appreciation comes as the US Dollar holds onto its gains following the recovery from daily losses, but some analysts warn that the upside for the Greenback might be limited due to easing hawkish sentiment surrounding Federal Reserve (Fed) policy outlook.
Fed Governor Christopher Waller recently indicated a preference for keeping interest rates unchanged at the upcoming September meeting, provided there are no major surprises in upcoming inflation data. This dovish tone stands in sharp contrast to the hawkish stance delivered by Chairman Kevin Warsh just a week earlier.
