Uzbekistan's Central Bank Sets New Exchange Rates for Major Currencies

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has set new official exchange rates for several major currencies. The US dollar saw a decline, falling by 5.47 soums to 11,825.40 soums per dollar.

The euro and Russian rouble strengthened against the soum, with the euro rising by 32.80 soums to 13,483.32 soums per euro and the Russian rouble gaining 1.07 soums to reach 140.34 soums per rouble.

The official rate for the Chinese yuan was set at 1,761.49 soums, down by 1 soum from its previous level.

The exchange rates are based on transactions on both the currency exchange and the over-the-counter interbank market since September 15th.
