Vanguard All-World ETF Sees Price Surge on Weaker US Payrolls Report
The Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF USD Accumulation saw its price jump 0.6% on Friday, driven by a weaker-than-expected US payrolls report that dampened expectations for a Federal Reserve rate increase.
This shift in sentiment was enough to reverse the mood across global equity markets, with the fund closing at EUR 171.38, just 0.2% below its record high of EUR 171.80.
The ETF's price has been volatile over the past few weeks, driven by bond-market stress and relief. The September 29 report from Reuters noted that lofty bond yields and anxiety over US inflation data were weighing on American and global equities alike.
However, a sharp turn in sentiment arrived with government bond prices rebounding from a selloff, and Micron Technology's upbeat revenue forecast reigniting enthusiasm for AI-linked stocks.
