The Venezuelan government and opposition have reached an agreement to reform the country's judicial system and recover international reserve assets held in the Bank of England.

This decision comes after a first work cycle within the political dialogue process, initiated in mid-July following a joint roadmap for national reconstruction presented by the two delegations.

The parties have committed to transforming the justice system through several measures, including renewing and expanding the judicial nominations committee, launching a new nomination process for magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), and creating a council to review candidates' credentials.

The agreement also aims to promote the recovery of international reserve assets deposited in the Bank of England, establishing mechanisms for transparency, traceability, and auditing in their use.
