Venezuela Government and Opposition Agree to Reform Top Court
The Venezuelan government and opposition have agreed to begin reforming the country's top court in the latest round of US-backed negotiations.
The deal, announced on Friday, is a significant step towards broader judicial reform long sought by the opposition.
In August, the parties agreed in principle to overhaul Venezuela's justice system and recover frozen assets from the Bank of England.
During this week's talks, a seven-member committee was appointed to review the system for choosing candidates for the Supreme Court of Justice.
