Vietnam Aims to Ride RWA Wave to Boost Economy
Party General Secretary and State President To Lam has embarked on state visits to Australia and New Zealand, aiming to strengthen bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnerships between Vietnam and its Oceania partners. The visit comes as Vietnam actively collaborates with both countries to advance economic and trade relations.
The real-world asset (RWA) market is gaining momentum worldwide, with the global RWA market increasing from $6 billion in January 2025 to over $34 billion within 16 months. In Vietnam, RWAs are seen as a potential channel for fundraising, especially in sectors like manufacturing, agriculture, energy, and the carbon market.
Vietnam's blockchain and digital assets association notes that asset tokenization is a key development in the RWA market, allowing for easy trading, tracking, and management of assets on decentralized platforms. According to Boston Consulting Group, RWAs are expected to reach $46 trillion by 2035, accounting for 9% of global investable assets.
Mr. Jeffrey Tchui, Executive Director & Head of APAC at Hashgraph, believes Vietnam can make a breakthrough in the RWA market due to its competitive advantages in various sectors.
