Vietnam and Canada Adopt Action Plan to Implement Strategic Partnership
The Vietnam and Canada governments have adopted an Action Plan to implement their Strategic Partnership. During talks in Ottawa on September 25, Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung and his Canadian counterpart Anita Indira Anand agreed on specific programs and projects in key areas such as economy, trade, investment, science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, healthcare, education, energy security, the environment, and defense cooperation. The Action Plan aims to translate high-level commitments into practical benefits for both countries.
The two ministers emphasized the importance of upgrading bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership, reflecting growing mutual trust and cooperation potential. They agreed on the need for regular review and update of the Action Plan and the coordination role of foreign ministries in implementing common perceptions and agreements.
