Virgin Australia slashes Europe flight prices in early bird sale

Virgin Australia has launched an early bird sale for European travel, offering return flights from just $1,641 in Economy Choice from Perth to Barcelona via Doha. The sale, running from October 6 to October 30, 2026, includes popular destinations like Rome, London Heathrow, and Paris, with departures from major Australian cities via Doha. Flights are operated through Virgin Australia’s partnership with Qatar Airways, providing access to over 40 European destinations with Qatar Airways’ award-winning onboard experience.

Velocity Frequent Flyer members can earn up to 24,000 bonus points on eligible return bookings, with different point levels based on fare class. To qualify, members must activate the offer on the Velocity website or app and book flights for travel between January 17 and October 31, 2027. The bonus points offer is available for various fare types, including Economy Choice, Flex, and Business Class.

Virgin Australia Chief Marketing Officer Libby Minogue highlighted the affordability and value of the sale, noting that Europe remains a top destination for Australian travelers. She emphasized the added benefit of earning bonus Velocity Points, making the trip even more rewarding. The sale is part of Virgin Australia’s extensive network, which includes flights to over 600 destinations worldwide through partnerships with airlines like Qatar Airways.
