Virgin Australia Slashes Europe Flights to $1,641 Return in 2027 Sale
Virgin Australia has launched an earlybird sale for flights to Europe in 2027, offering discounted return fares starting from $1,641 in Economy Choice. The sale is available for bookings made between 6-30 October 2026 and applies to select travel dates in 2027. Flights depart from five Australian cities, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide, and connect via Doha to over 40 destinations across Europe and Qatar, operated by Qatar Airways under a partnership with Virgin Australia.
Key sale fares include Perth to Barcelona from $1,641, Perth to Paris from $1,725, Brisbane to Barcelona from $1,758, and Sydney to Paris from $1,869. Travel is available on select dates between 17 January and 14 March 2027, and 17 April and 8 June 2027, with blackout periods applying.
Velocity Frequent Flyer members can earn up to 24,000 bonus Velocity Points on eligible return bookings. Points are awarded based on fare type, with up to 12,000 points for Business Class fares. To qualify, members must activate the offer, book during the promotion period, and add their membership number before departure.
Virgin Australia Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer Libby Minogue highlighted the affordability and value of the sale, noting that it provides an opportunity for Australians to explore popular European destinations. The bonus Velocity Points offer adds an extra incentive for frequent flyers, building on recent enhancements to the loyalty program.
