Wall Street Rebounds as Oil Prices Fall and Bond Market Pressure Eases
US stocks are recovering from their losses on Thursday after falling oil prices and easing pressure from the bond market.
The S&P 500 index rose by 1% and was on track for just its second increase in nine days.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 306 points, or 0.6%, as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time, while the Nasdaq composite was 1.3% higher.
The gains come after the Federal Reserve hiked its main interest rate for the first time in years and suggested more increases may be ahead to combat high inflation.
