Warsh Seeks Leaner Fed with Less Forward Guidance
Kevin Warsh, a former Federal Reserve official, has expressed his desire to see a more minimalist approach from the central bank. He believes that Fed policymakers should limit their forward guidance on interest rates and reduce the frequency of speeches and meetings.
In an effort to minimize its footprint on the economy, Warsh also advocates for the Fed to own fewer assets. This vision is in line with his aspiration to be a Federal Reserve chair who speaks little and acts decisively.
