Warsh Sets New Record with Lightning-Fast Press Conference

Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh has made it clear that he thinks policymakers should do less talking. He put his words into action on Wednesday, holding the shortest press conference on record for a Fed chair speaking after a regularly-scheduled policy meeting.

The customary news conference following the Fed's decision to raise interest rates for the first time in more than three years clocked in at right around 30 minutes. This was the shortest session since Fed chairs began holding regular press conferences in 2011.
