Wellington Management Taps Veteran Economist for Macro Research Lead

Wellington Management has strengthened its macro research capabilities by appointing Fabio Balboni as the team's new chief economist.

With a background in European macroeconomics, Balboni joins from HSBC Global Banking and Markets, where he spent 11 years as senior European economist.

In his previous role, he monitored economic and political developments across Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Greece, as well as forecasting eurozone inflation.
