XRP vs Solana: Which Crypto to Buy Before Fed Decision?
XRP and Solana are two cryptocurrencies that have been performing well in recent months. XRP has climbed over 30% in the past month, while Solana has also seen a similar increase. However, their fates may be different heading into the Federal Reserve's September 16 decision.
The Senate is set to vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15, which could have a significant impact on XRP's regulatory status. The bill needs seven Democratic senators to cross party lines to reach 60 votes, but the current draft has been met with opposition from some senators due to ethics concerns.
XRP's spot ETFs saw record inflows of $110.49 million in the week of August 24, while its cumulative net inflows reached $1.70 billion by September 9. The XRP Ledger is also set for an upgrade on September 11, which could add to XRP's momentum.
Solana, on the other hand, has seen steady growth in institutional demand and network usage since last October. Its ETF inflows have been climbing steadily, reaching $1.36 billion in cumulative net inflows. Solana is also set for a technical upgrade called Alpenglow, which would cut transaction finality to 150 milliseconds.
In the end, it seems that XRP has more near-term catalysts than Solana, but only time will tell how these events play out.
