Yen Jumps as Japan's Currency Czar Warns of Weakness
The Japanese yen has experienced a significant surge in value after warnings from Japan's currency czar about its weakness.
Atsushi Mimura, the nation's top currency official, expressed concern over the yen's depreciation in a recent interview with Reuters.
According to Mimura, Japan's prime minister and finance minister, along with the US, have sent a 'very clear' message about the yen's weakness.
The yen rose by as much as 0.4% to 156.51 per dollar, hitting its strongest level since September 18.
